\"The first part of a new series exploring experimental maturations created by Dr. Bill Lumsden. In this first instalment, we find a 13 year old expression matured in sweet Sauternes wine casks married with classic Ardbeg that was matured in ex-bourbon casks. A harmony of sweet and smoke, bringing together notes of extra virgin olive oil with aromatic herbal notes of coriander and sage, before waxiness, citrus and carbolic soap peel away to reveal crme brle. Moss and treacle are met on a sip, along with aniseed lozenges and sweet balsamic, smoked apricots and eucalyptus oil. Packed with flavour that lingers long after each indulgent sip, and bottled without additional colouring of chill-filtration\".
