Brothers, Jean Philippe and Jean Guillaume Bret removed their family vineyard in the Macon from the local co-op in 2000,in order toestablish Domaine de la Soufrandire. They have since converted to organic and biodynamic farming across their sights and are now making some of the most exciting wines in the Mconnais.

In 2001 they created Bret Brothers, the negociant side for which they buy top quality organically farmed grapes from 40+ year old vines in small plots in the best sites in the Mcon. All the vineyards are hand harvested by their team, vinified using natural yeasts, matured and bottled in house, with the same care and attention to detail as their estate wines.

Pouilly-Vinzelles is a continuation of the Jurassic Limestone slopes of Pouilly-Fuisse. Creamy and floral with plenty of texture and minerality, not too dissimilar from a Chablis.
