Domaine Guion was established by Stphane\'s parents in the 1950s, originally as a mixed farm with animals as well as vegetables and grain, making the family largely self sufficient. Over time the Guion family became known as pioneers of organic farming and viticulture, as they sought to nourish and care for their land. Stphane became particularly interested in vines though and after finishing his studies in Bordeaux took over 8 hectares in the heart of the Bourgueil appellation. The Domaine has been Demeter registered and certified Biodynamic since 2021 and Stphane uses a careful, informed and low intervention approach in the cellar using natural ferments and minimal sulphur. The resulting wines are pure, precise, with vibrant red fruit character and integrated tannins. While approachable and very enjoyable young they have the potential to age beautifully.
