The wine is made from a combination of Sylvaner and Riesling grapes, which make up 80% of the blend. Auxerrois grapes contribute 15% to the blend, while Gewurztraminer grapes make up the remaining 5%. The wine has been aged for a long period of time on lees. A small amount of sulphur has been added during the bottling process.
