The Lerner Project 2019 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold and expressive Napa Valley wine crafted by Russell Bevan, known for his hedonistic winemaking style. It opens with intense aromas of ripe black cherry, blueberry, and dark plum, layered with graphite, charcoal, and baking spices. On the palate, it delivers a mouthfilling richness with notes of chocolate, iron, and bloody minerality, balanced by medium tannins and energetic acidity that lift the wine through a long, seamless finish. Aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak from three coopersDarnajou, Taransaud, and Gambathe wine gains added nuance and depth. This Cabernet pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, or mushroom-stuffed ravioli, where its power and complexity enhance the savory richness of the dish.
