Tasting Notes

Ontan 2023 Kaori White Rioja is a vibrant and expressive wine made entirely from Viura, a native Spanish grape known for its elegance and versatility. It pours a clean, lemon-yellow hue and opens with floral aromas layered with citrus, grapefruit, and subtle spice. On the palate, it delivers a voluptuous texture with tropical fruit notes like pineapple and melon, complemented by hints of butter, vanilla, and a touch of white pepper. The wines balanced acidity and long citrus finish make it a refreshing yet complex choice. Designed originally to pair with sushi, it also shines alongside light meats, creamy dishes, grilled seafood, and soft cheeses, offering a dynamic range of pairing possibilities.
