Penelope Toasted Series Barrel Strength Straight Bourbon is a unique expression from Penelope Bourbon, a distillery known for its innovative approach to bourbon production. This bourbon is crafted using a mash bill that typically includes corn, rye, and malted barley, and is aged in charred new American oak barrels. The \'toasted\' aspect refers to an additional finishing process where the bourbon is transferred to freshly toasted barrels, enhancing its complexity and depth. Bottled at barrel strength, this bourbon offers a robust ABV, delivering intense flavors of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, with a hint of spice and a smooth finish. It originates from the United States, specifically from the bourbon heartland of Kentucky.
