Grape Groppeloo
Region, Country Emilia Romana, Italy
Pleasant complexity. On the nose dry chestnut, saba, black cherry compote. The mouth is slightly tannic, clean and deep. Very dry and strictly wild in the direction of dry plum, sage, and dried twigs. A fantastically unsettling wine, lovely with a few strong cheeses
100% Grappello - an ancient variety in the Lambrusco family - biodynamically farmed. Grapes are hand-harvested, macerate for 3 days in steel prior to pressing. Secondary fermentation in bottle with addition of fresh must. Unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. 12.5% ABV
